PLAYTIME installation at Reykjavík Art Museum
The installation was centered on our traveling workshop PLAYTIME which was developed for students of architecture. During a PLAYTIME workshop, creativity is unleashed through a mixture of play and challenging constraints. For many the LEGO brick is a dear childhood friend, hence it endorses playfulness while providing a productive parametrical platform for the students to work within. KRADS has held PLAYTIME workshops with among other Iceland Academy of the Arts, Aarhus School of Architecture, Denmark, Aalto University, Finland and TU-Delft, the Netherlands.
Output from PLAYTIME has been exhibited internationally, at platforms like Reykjavik DesignMarch, Helsinki Design Week and the Venice Architectural Biennale and published in i.a. Dezeen, Architectural Review and Gestalten’s book “Taken by Surprise”.
