Collaborating with C.C. contractors KRADS has been involved in the development of a new urban area in downtown Herning, Denmark. The plot, belonging to Energigruppen and situated between Dalgas Allé and Dronningens Boulevard, is going to be transformed into a dynamic Urban Oasis.
The relocation of Energi Midt’s activities from the area creates an opportunity for a new form for urban area in Herning downtown. The 3 hectare plot, with its characteristic old industrial buildings, will be enclosed by a new and varied peripheral building mass – encompassing a diverse program of housing, leisure, business & retail. The character of the whole area is imagined as an Urban Oases, a fertile ground for a wide range of cultural activities, recreational attractions and a varied urban life.
